AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?
This vulnerability is a memory leak in the Linux kernel's AMD GPU driver. Specifically, memory allocated for the gpu_metrics_table in the function smu_v13_0_4_init_smc_tables() is not properly freed in smu_v13_0_4_fini_smc_tables(), which can cause the system to consume more memory over time unnecessarily.
How can this vulnerability impact me? :
The impact of this vulnerability is that it may cause a memory leak in the system, leading to increased memory usage and potentially degraded system performance or stability over time if the leak is significant and not addressed.
