Description
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: host: Fix refcount leak in ehci_hcd_ppc_of_probe
of_find_compatible_node() returns a node pointer with refcount
incremented, we should use of_node_put() on it when done.
Add missing of_node_put() to avoid refcount leak.

AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?
This vulnerability is a reference count leak in the Linux kernel's USB host controller driver (ehci_hcd_ppc_of_probe). The function of_find_compatible_node() returns a node pointer with its reference count incremented, but the code did not properly decrement the reference count by calling of_node_put() when done, leading to a leak.
How can this vulnerability impact me? :
The reference count leak can cause resource leaks in the kernel, potentially leading to increased memory usage or instability over time as resources are not properly released.
