AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?

This vulnerability is a memory leak in the Linux kernel's wifi libertas driver. Specifically, when the function kfifo_alloc() fails during the initialization of the adapter (lbs_init_adapter()), the command buffer memory is not properly released, causing a memory leak. The fix involves adding code to free the memory in the error handling path.

How can this vulnerability impact me? :

The memory leak could lead to increased memory usage over time, potentially causing system instability or crashes if the leaked memory accumulates. This could degrade the performance of the wifi driver or the overall system.
