AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?
This vulnerability is a memory leak issue in the Linux kernel's hinic network driver. Specifically, when the function hinic_set_cmdq_depth() fails during the initialization of command queues (hinic_init_cmdqs()), the allocated command queue memory is not properly released, leading to a memory leak.
How can this vulnerability impact me? :
The memory leak caused by this vulnerability can lead to increased memory usage over time, potentially degrading system performance or causing resource exhaustion, which may result in system instability or crashes.
