Executive Summary

This vulnerability is a buffer overflow in PyTorch version 2.7.0 that occurs when a model uses specific components (torch.nn.Conv2d, torch.nn.functional.hardshrink, and torch.Tensor.view-torch.mv()) and is compiled by Inductor. The buffer overflow can cause the program to crash or behave unexpectedly.

Impact Analysis

The vulnerability can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS), meaning the affected PyTorch model or application could crash or become unavailable, disrupting services or workflows that depend on it.
