AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?
This vulnerability is a memory leak in the Linux kernel's hinic driver. Specifically, when the function hinic_dbg_get_func_table() is called with a certain input parameter (idx) that meets an expected case, the allocated memory for read_data is not properly released, causing a memory leak.
How can this vulnerability impact me? :
The memory leak could lead to increased memory usage over time, potentially causing system instability or degraded performance if the affected function is called repeatedly without releasing memory.
