Description
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ARM: dts: exynos: Use Exynos5420 compatible for the MIPI video phy
For some reason, the driver adding support for Exynos5420 MIPI phy
back in 2016 wasn't used on Exynos5420, which caused a kernel panic.
Add the proper compatible for it.

AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?
This vulnerability is related to the Linux kernel's ARM device tree source (dts) for the Exynos platform. Specifically, the driver that added support for the Exynos5420 MIPI video PHY in 2016 was not properly used on the Exynos5420 device, which caused a kernel panic. The fix involved adding the correct compatible string for the Exynos5420 to prevent this issue.
How can this vulnerability impact me? :
This vulnerability can cause a kernel panic on devices using the Exynos5420 MIPI video PHY, potentially leading to system crashes or instability.
