Executive Summary

This vulnerability is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in Sergestec's Exito v8.0. It occurs because the application does not properly validate user input sent via the 'obs' parameter in a POST request to '/admin/index.php?action=product_update'. An attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted request that stores malicious script code, which can then be executed in the context of an authenticated user's browser, potentially stealing their session cookies.

Impact Analysis

This vulnerability can allow a remote attacker to execute malicious scripts in the browser of an authenticated user. This can lead to theft of session cookies, which may allow the attacker to hijack the user's session and gain unauthorized access to the application with the user's privileges.
