AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?

This vulnerability is a Stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) issue in WinPlus v24.11.27. It occurs because the application does not properly validate user input sent via the 'descripcion' parameter in a specific POST request. This allows an attacker to store malicious scripts that can later be executed in the context of an authenticated user's browser.

How can this vulnerability impact me? :

An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to send a specially crafted query that, when viewed by an authenticated user, executes malicious scripts. This could lead to the theft of the user's session cookies, potentially allowing the attacker to hijack the user's session and gain unauthorized access.
