Executive Summary

This vulnerability occurs because CMService.exe creates the C:\usr directory and its subdirectories with insecure permissions that allow all authenticated users to write to them. This means attackers can replace important configuration files like snmp.conf or hijack DLL files, which can lead to privilege escalation on the affected system.

Impact Analysis

The vulnerability can allow attackers with authenticated access to modify configuration files or replace DLLs, potentially escalating their privileges on the system. This could lead to unauthorized control, data manipulation, or further compromise of the affected system.
