CVE-2025-65825
Unknown Unknown - Not Provided
BaseFortify

Publication date: 2025-12-10

Last updated on: 2025-12-30

Assigner: MITRE

Description
The firmware on the basestation of the Meatmeet is not encrypted. An adversary with physical access to the Meatmeet device can disassemble the device, connect over UART, and retrieve the firmware dump for analysis. Within the NVS partition they may discover the credentials of the current and previous Wi-Fi networks. This information could be used to gain unauthorized access to the victim's Wi-Fi network.

AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?

The vulnerability involves the firmware on the basestation of the Meatmeet device not being encrypted. An attacker with physical access can disassemble the device, connect via UART, and extract the firmware. Inside the firmware's NVS partition, the attacker can find credentials for current and previous Wi-Fi networks, potentially allowing unauthorized access to those networks.

How can this vulnerability impact me? :

This vulnerability can lead to unauthorized access to your Wi-Fi networks if an attacker physically accesses your Meatmeet device, extracts the firmware, and obtains stored Wi-Fi credentials. This could compromise your network security and potentially expose connected devices and data.

What immediate steps should I take to mitigate this vulnerability?

To mitigate this vulnerability, restrict physical access to the Meatmeet device to prevent adversaries from disassembling it and connecting over UART. Additionally, consider implementing physical security controls and monitoring for unauthorized access to the device.
