AI Powered Q&A
Can you explain this vulnerability to me?
This vulnerability in the Linux kernel involves the erofs filesystem, where there was no limit on the level of filesystem stacking for file-backed mounts. This could lead to a kernel stack overflow, for example, if the EROFS filesystem mounts itself recursively.
How can this vulnerability impact me? :
The vulnerability could cause a kernel stack overflow, potentially leading to system instability, crashes, or denial of service on affected Linux systems using the erofs filesystem with file-backed mounts.
