Executive Summary

This vulnerability affects Lightroom Desktop versions 15.1 and earlier. It is an out-of-bounds write vulnerability, which means that the software writes data outside the boundaries of allocated memory. This flaw could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the current user. However, exploitation requires user interaction, specifically that the victim opens a malicious file.

Impact Analysis

If exploited, this vulnerability could allow an attacker to run arbitrary code on your system with the same permissions as the current user. This could lead to unauthorized actions such as installing malware, stealing data, or modifying files. Since the attack requires the user to open a malicious file, the risk depends on user behavior and exposure to untrusted files.
