Executive Summary

This vulnerability exists in OpenHarmony version 5.1.0 and earlier. It allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code within pre-installed applications by exploiting an out-of-bounds write. However, this exploit can only be performed under restricted scenarios.

Impact Analysis

The vulnerability can lead to arbitrary code execution by a local attacker, which means that an attacker with limited access could potentially run malicious code within pre-installed apps. This could compromise the confidentiality of data handled by those apps, as indicated by the high confidentiality impact in the CVSS score.
