Description

The Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the `_gspb_post_css` post meta value and the `dynamicAttributes` block attribute in all versions up to, and including, 12.8.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Executive Summary

The Greenshift animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress has a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This occurs because the plugin does not properly sanitize input or escape output for certain fields, specifically the `_gspb_post_css` post meta value and the `dynamicAttributes` block attribute. As a result, authenticated users with Contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts into pages. These scripts will then execute whenever any user views the infected page.

Impact Analysis

This vulnerability allows attackers with Contributor-level access or above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. When other users visit these pages, the malicious scripts execute in their browsers. This can lead to unauthorized actions such as stealing session cookies, defacing content, or performing actions on behalf of the user without their consent.
