Can you explain this vulnerability to me?
This vulnerability is a command injection issue found in the web management interface of the WiFi Extender WDR201A (hardware version 2.1, firmware LFMZX28040922V1.02). Specifically, the adm.cgi endpoint does not properly sanitize user input that is passed to a command-related parameter within the sysCMD functionality, allowing an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary commands.
How can this vulnerability impact me? :
Exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the device remotely via the web management interface. This could lead to unauthorized control over the device, potentially compromising the network it is connected to, disrupting network services, or allowing further attacks on connected systems.
