How does this vulnerability affect compliance with common standards and regulations (like GDPR, HIPAA)?:

The provided information does not specify how CVE-2026-41912 affects compliance with common standards and regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA.

Can you explain this vulnerability to me?

CVE-2026-41912 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) policy bypass vulnerability in OpenClaw versions before 2026.4.8.

The vulnerability allows attackers to exploit browser interactions that trigger navigations bypassing the normal SSRF checks implemented by OpenClaw.

This means attackers can manipulate the application to send unauthorized requests to restricted internal resources that should normally be protected.

The issue requires low privileges and user interaction but does not require elevated attacker privileges or explicit user consent beyond the interaction.

How can this vulnerability impact me? :

This vulnerability can allow attackers to bypass SSRF protections and access restricted internal resources that should not be accessible.

Such unauthorized access could lead to information disclosure or further exploitation within the internal network.

Because the attack requires only low privileges and user interaction, it can be exploited relatively easily if an attacker can trick a user into interacting with the application.

What immediate steps should I take to mitigate this vulnerability?

To mitigate the CVE-2026-41912 vulnerability, you should upgrade OpenClaw to version 2026.4.8 or later, where the SSRF policy bypass issue has been fixed.

This update addresses the vulnerability by patching the interaction-triggered navigation that allowed attackers to bypass SSRF protections.
