Executive Summary

This vulnerability is a NULL pointer dereference in the ctts_box_write function within the isomedia/box_code_base.c file of GPAC MP4Box version 2.4. It occurs when the software processes a specially crafted MP4 file, which causes the program to attempt to access memory through a NULL pointer.

This results in a Denial of Service (DoS) condition, meaning the application can crash or become unresponsive due to this error.

Impact Analysis

The primary impact of this vulnerability is that an attacker can cause the GPAC MP4Box application to crash or stop functioning by providing a maliciously crafted MP4 file.

This Denial of Service (DoS) can disrupt normal operations, potentially affecting any system or service relying on GPAC MP4Box for media processing.

Compliance Impact
