Executive Summary

This vulnerability occurs in the validateNode function of the ResourceTypes.cpp file, where an incorrect bounds check can cause an out of bounds read.

Because of this flaw, an attacker can exploit the issue locally to escalate their privileges without needing any additional execution privileges or user interaction.

Impact Analysis

The impact of this vulnerability is a local escalation of privilege, meaning an attacker who already has some level of access on the system could increase their privileges.

This could allow the attacker to perform actions or access data that would normally be restricted, potentially compromising system security.
