Executive Summary

This vulnerability exists in the ExecuteGraph command handler of the EdgeTPU firmware. It is caused by an integer overflow that can result in an out of bounds write.

An out of bounds write means that the program writes data outside the boundaries of allocated memory, which can corrupt memory and lead to unexpected behavior.

Impact Analysis

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to local escalation of privilege, meaning an attacker with local access could gain higher privileges on the system.

Specifically, root privileges are needed to exploit this vulnerability, and successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute code with root-level permissions.

User interaction is not required for exploitation, increasing the risk if an attacker already has local access.
