CWE ID Description
CWE-89 The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.

Executive Summary

CVE-2026-12076 is a SQL Injection vulnerability in Raytha CMS, specifically within the OData filter parsing pipeline.

This vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary SQL statements on the underlying PostgreSQL database.

As a result, the attacker can fully compromise the database, including extracting credentials.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.5.2 of Raytha CMS but may affect other versions as well.

Impact Analysis

This vulnerability can lead to a full compromise of the database used by Raytha CMS.

An attacker can execute arbitrary SQL commands remotely without authentication.

This can result in unauthorized access to sensitive data, including user credentials.

Such a compromise can lead to data breaches, loss of data integrity, and potential further exploitation of the affected system.

Compliance Impact

The vulnerability in Raytha CMS allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL statements, leading to full database compromise including credential extraction.

Such a compromise can result in unauthorized access to sensitive personal data, which may violate data protection regulations like GDPR and HIPAA that require safeguarding of personal and health information.

Therefore, exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to non-compliance with these common standards and regulations due to potential data breaches and failure to protect sensitive information.

Mitigation Strategies

The vulnerability affects Raytha CMS version 1.5.2 and possibly other versions. Since vendor contact attempts were unsuccessful and no specific mitigation steps are provided, the immediate step is to avoid using the affected version or restrict access to the vulnerable service to trusted users only.

Monitoring for unusual database activity and preparing to update or patch the software once a fix is available is recommended.
