Executive Summary

This vulnerability exists in Evoluted PHP Directory Listing Script through version 4.0.5. It is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) issue found in the index.php file where the 'dir' parameter is used. The value of this parameter is reflected without proper HTML encoding inside the HTML title element and inside anchor href attributes in the breadcrumb navigation.

Attackers can exploit this by crafting malicious 'dir' parameter values that break out of the title context or inject event handlers into breadcrumb anchor attributes. This allows them to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's browser.
