Executive Summary

This vulnerability exists in the Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) product, specifically in the ADF Faces component of Oracle Fusion Middleware. It affects supported versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. The vulnerability is difficult to exploit and requires a high privileged attacker who already has logon access to the infrastructure where Oracle ADF runs.

If successfully exploited, the attacker can compromise Oracle ADF, gaining unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all data accessible through Oracle ADF. Additionally, the attacker may be able to perform unauthorized update, insert, or delete operations on some of the accessible data.

Impact Analysis

The impact of this vulnerability includes unauthorized access to critical data within Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF). An attacker with high privileges and access to the infrastructure could potentially view sensitive information that should be protected.

Furthermore, the attacker could modify data by updating, inserting, or deleting some of the data accessible through Oracle ADF, which could lead to data integrity issues and operational disruptions.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability allows a high privileged attacker with logon access to compromise the Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), potentially resulting in unauthorized access to critical data and unauthorized modification of some data.

Such unauthorized access and data modification could impact compliance with data protection regulations and standards like GDPR and HIPAA, which require protection of sensitive and critical data from unauthorized access and alteration.

However, the provided information does not explicitly state the direct effects on compliance with these standards.
