Executive Summary

The vulnerability exists in Nezha Monitoring, a self-hostable tool for monitoring servers and websites. In versions from 0.20.0 up to but not including 2.0.12, authenticated agents have the ability to forge service-monitor results for services belonging to other users. This means that an attacker with agent-level access can manipulate monitoring data for services they do not own.

Impact Analysis

This vulnerability can impact you by allowing an authenticated agent to falsify monitoring results for other users' services. This could lead to incorrect monitoring data, potentially hiding service outages or issues, misleading administrators, and affecting the reliability of the monitoring system. The integrity of monitoring information is compromised, which may result in delayed responses to real problems or false alarms.

Mitigation Strategies

To mitigate this vulnerability, you should upgrade Nezha Monitoring to version 2.0.12 or later, where the issue has been patched.
