Publication date: 2026-06-18

Last updated on: 2026-06-18

Assigner: VulnCheck

Description
PraisonAI before 1.5.115 contains a path traversal vulnerability in MultiAgentMonitor that fails to sanitize agent IDs when building file paths. Attackers can include traversal sequences like ../ in agent IDs to read, write, or overwrite arbitrary files, enabling sensitive disclosure, denial of service, or code execution.

Executive Summary

This vulnerability exists in PraisonAI versions before 1.5.115 within the MultiAgentMonitor component. It is a path traversal flaw caused by the failure to properly sanitize agent IDs when constructing file paths. Attackers can exploit this by including traversal sequences such as "../" in agent IDs, which allows them to access, modify, or overwrite arbitrary files on the system.

Impact Analysis

Exploiting this vulnerability can lead to several serious impacts including unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information, denial of service by corrupting or deleting critical files, and potentially remote code execution by overwriting executable files or scripts.
