CVE-2026-57535
Deferred Deferred - Pending Action
PDF Rendering Engine SSRF via Malicious Image Tags

Publication date: 2026-06-25

Last updated on: 2026-06-25

Assigner: rami.io

Description
Content injected to PDF rendering contexts could, in many places, include HTML content including <img> tags. If the src attribute of these images pointed to an URL, the PDF rendering engine would download the image from that place and display it, thereby leaking information about the rendering server and possibly creating an SSRF vector in the local network.

Executive Summary

This vulnerability involves content injected into PDF rendering contexts that can include HTML content such as <img> tags. If the src attribute of these images points to a URL, the PDF rendering engine will download the image from that URL and display it.

This behavior can leak information about the rendering server and may create a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vector within the local network.

Impact Analysis

The vulnerability can lead to information leakage about the rendering server, which could expose internal details that attackers might exploit.

Additionally, it may allow attackers to perform SSRF attacks, potentially enabling them to access or interact with internal network resources that are otherwise protected.
