Executive Summary

This vulnerability affects Gitea versions before 1.25.5. It occurs because these versions do not use the migration HTTP transport for Large File Storage (LFS) push and sync mirror operations. As a result, the configured migration transport protections that are supposed to secure those LFS requests are bypassed.

Impact Analysis

By bypassing the configured migration transport protections for LFS push and sync mirror operations, this vulnerability could potentially allow unauthorized or unprotected LFS requests. This may lead to security risks such as unauthorized data access or manipulation during these operations.
