Executive Summary

CVE-2026-55399 is a resource exhaustion vulnerability in the Secure Access publisher software versions prior to 14.55. It allows attackers with valid credentials to create a non-persistent denial of service (DoS) condition against the publisher by consuming system resources.

Detection Guidance

Detection requires monitoring for unusual resource usage or tunnel activity on the Secure Access publisher. Check for high CPU/memory consumption by the publisher process and unexpected tunnel connections from authenticated users. No specific commands are provided in the available context.

Impact Analysis

This vulnerability can cause service disruptions by making the Secure Access publisher unresponsive or slow, potentially affecting network access for legitimate users. It may lead to downtime or degraded performance for the publisher service.

Compliance Impact

The vulnerability causes resource exhaustion leading to a non-persistent denial of service in the Secure Access publisher. This could disrupt availability of systems handling sensitive data, potentially violating compliance requirements for GDPR and HIPAA which mandate availability and protection of personal health or user data.

Mitigation Strategies

Upgrade the Secure Access publisher to version 14.55 or later to address the resource exhaustion vulnerability.
