CWE ID Description
CWE-416 The product reuses or references memory after it has been freed. At some point afterward, the memory may be allocated again and saved in another pointer, while the original pointer references a location somewhere within the new allocation. Any operations using the original pointer are no longer valid because the memory "belongs" to the code that operates on the new pointer.

Executive Summary

This vulnerability occurs when an application opens a PDF that contains JavaScript modifying a form. The issue arises because the related objects on the page do not have proper lifecycle management or validation for null values. As the page state changes, the application repeatedly tries to access invalid objects, which eventually causes the application to crash.

Impact Analysis

The vulnerability can lead to an application crash due to continuous dereferencing of invalid objects when processing PDF forms with JavaScript. This can cause denial of service, interrupting normal operations and potentially leading to loss of availability.
