Executive Summary

This is a vulnerability in Oracle GoldenGate's Admin Server component. It allows low-privileged attackers with network access via HTTP to read a subset of Oracle GoldenGate data. The CVSS score is 4.3, indicating low impact on confidentiality only.

Detection Guidance

This vulnerability affects Oracle GoldenGate Admin Server versions 19.1.0.0.0-19.30.0.0, 21.3-21.21, and 23.4-23.26.1. Detection involves checking the installed version of Oracle GoldenGate. Use commands like 'ggsci -version' or examine the installation directory for version files. Monitor network traffic for HTTP access to the Admin Server port (default 7809). Check logs for unusual read access patterns to Oracle GoldenGate data.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could exploit this to gain unauthorized read access to some Oracle GoldenGate data, potentially exposing sensitive information. The impact is limited to confidentiality and requires low privileges and network access.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized data access, which may violate GDPR or HIPAA compliance if sensitive data is exposed. Organizations using affected Oracle GoldenGate versions should assess their exposure.

Mitigation Strategies

Apply the latest Oracle GoldenGate patches for versions 19.1.0.0.0-19.30.0.0, 21.3-21.21, and 23.4-23.26.1. Restrict network access to the Admin Server via HTTP and enforce least privilege for user accounts.
