Executive Summary

This vulnerability is an inconsistent user interface issue caused by poor state management. It allows a remote attacker to bypass network filters by exploiting this flaw in Apple's operating systems.

Detection Guidance

This vulnerability involves inconsistent UI state management that may allow bypassing network filters. Detection requires checking system and application versions against the fixed releases: iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6. Verify installed versions using system update tools or version check commands like 'sw_vers' on macOS or 'system_profiler SPSoftwareDataType'.

Impact Analysis

A remote attacker could bypass network filters, potentially accessing restricted content or services. This may lead to unauthorized data exposure or network misuse.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability does not directly affect compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or similar standards as it involves an inconsistent user interface issue rather than a data breach or privacy violation. The issue allows bypassing network filters, which may indirectly impact network security controls but does not inherently violate compliance requirements.

Mitigation Strategies

Update affected Apple devices to the latest versions: iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, or watchOS 26.6 to address the issue.
