Executive Summary

CVE-2025-59327 is a flaw in CPSD CryptoPro Secure Disk for Bitlocker before version 7.7.4. The vulnerability involves the bootxsa.efi component failing to properly validate LUKS encryption during the boot process. If LUKS encryption is detected, CryptoPro skips all file integrity checks, potentially allowing unauthorized access or bypass of security controls.

Detection Guidance

Detection requires checking the CryptoPro Secure Disk version. Use the command 'cpsd --version' or inspect installed files like 'bootxsa.efi' in UEFI boot partitions. If version is below 7.7.4, the system is vulnerable.

Impact Analysis

This vulnerability could allow attackers to bypass encryption checks and gain unauthorized access to encrypted data. If LUKS encryption is present, the system may skip integrity checks, enabling adversaries to manipulate encrypted data or extract sensitive information without detection.

Mitigation Strategies

Upgrade CryptoPro Secure Disk to version 7.7.4 or later immediately. Verify the update by checking the version again. Ensure LUKS encryption validation is properly enforced post-update.
