Executive Summary

This vulnerability affects the Events Made Easy WordPress plugin before version 3.1.2. It allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit a flaw where payment authorization tokens are not properly linked to specific payment records. This means an attacker could pay a small amount for a cheap booking but have a separate, more expensive booking marked as fully paid without proper authorization.

Impact Analysis

If you use the vulnerable plugin, attackers could manipulate payments to avoid full charges for higher-priced bookings. This could lead to financial losses for your business or customers. Unauthorized transactions may also occur without proper validation.

Mitigation Strategies

Update the Events Made Easy WordPress plugin to version 3.1.2 or later to address the vulnerability.
