Executive Summary

CVE-2026-15046 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in the LitExtension WordPress plugin up to version 1.2.5. It allows attackers to take over the store-migration connector's authentication token by tricking an admin into clicking a malicious link, which overwrites the token without proper verification.

Detection Guidance

Check if the LitExtension Store to WooCommerce Migration plugin version 1.2.5 or lower is installed on your WordPress site. Inspect network traffic for suspicious administrative actions without nonce verification.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could gain control of the migration connector token, potentially allowing unauthorized access to migrate or manipulate store data. This could lead to data breaches, unauthorized changes, or disruption of store operations if an admin unknowingly triggers the exploit.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access or data breaches, which may violate GDPR (data protection) or HIPAA (health data privacy) requirements. Organizations using the affected plugin may face compliance violations, fines, or legal consequences if exploited.

Mitigation Strategies

Update the plugin to the latest version if available. If no update exists, disable the plugin until a patch is released. Limit administrative access and monitor for unauthorized token changes.
