Executive Summary

CVE-2026-15359 is a vulnerability in the Templately WordPress plugin versions before 3.7.1. It involves a missing authorization check in a request handler that allows unauthenticated attackers to overwrite the administrator's cloud service connection with an attacker-controlled account. This disconnects the legitimate administrator and redirects the site's cloud template library to attacker-controlled content.

Detection Guidance

Check if your Templately plugin version is below 3.7.1. Look for unauthorized changes in cloud service connections or unexpected redirects in the template library. Monitor network traffic for suspicious requests to the vulnerable handler.

Impact Analysis

If exploited, this vulnerability could allow attackers to take control of your WordPress site's cloud template library. This means they could replace legitimate templates with malicious or inappropriate content, disrupting your site's functionality and potentially harming your users or reputation.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access and modification of site content, which may violate data integrity and confidentiality requirements under GDPR and HIPAA. If attackers gain control of templates, they might expose or alter sensitive user data, leading to compliance breaches and legal consequences.

Mitigation Strategies

Update the Templately plugin to version 3.7.1 or later immediately. Review cloud service connections for unauthorized changes. Remove any suspicious admin accounts. Monitor for unusual activity.
