Detection Guidance

Check the installed version of the FoodBoxBooker WordPress plugin. If it is below 1.0.8, the system is vulnerable. Use commands like 'wp plugin list' in WordPress CLI or inspect the plugin files in the /wp-content/plugins/foodboxbooker/ directory.

Impact Analysis

An attacker with Subscriber access could change another user's profile details, potentially escalating privileges, accessing sensitive information, or taking control of administrator accounts. This could lead to unauthorized access to the WordPress site and its data.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access or modification of user data, violating GDPR's data integrity and confidentiality requirements. For HIPAA, it may risk unauthorized access to protected health information, compromising compliance with security rules.
