Executive Summary

CVE-2026-30866 is a vulnerability in Combodo iTop, an IT service management tool. It allows unauthenticated users to access uploaded sensitive images via sniffed URLs in versions before 3.2.3. The issue stems from insecure access to inline image endpoints without proper authentication checks.

Detection Guidance

Check if your iTop version is below 3.2.3. Inspect network logs for unauthorized access to inline image endpoints or document downloads. Look for requests to paths like /pages/ajax.document.php without authentication.

Impact Analysis

This vulnerability could expose sensitive images to unauthorized users. Attackers might access confidential data by exploiting sniffed URLs, leading to potential data breaches. The high CVSS score of 7.5 indicates significant risk due to network accessibility and lack of required privileges.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive images, potentially exposing personal or confidential data. This may violate GDPR's data protection principles if personal data is involved, and HIPAA's safeguards for protected health information if applicable.

Mitigation Strategies
