Vulnerability report for CVE-2026-58239, including description, CVSS score, EPSS score, affected products, exploitability, helpful resources, and attack-flow context.

Publication date: 2026-08-11

Last updated on: 2026-08-11

Assigner: SAP SE

Description

SAP Approuter does not sufficiently validate tenant context in inbound requests. An unauthenticated attacker could send specially crafted requests to spoof the tenant context under conditions not fully within their control. Successful exploitation could allow limited access to another tenant's information, resulting in a low impact on confidentiality. There is no impact on integrity and availability.

Executive Summary

SAP Approuter has a flaw where it does not properly validate tenant context in incoming requests. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to craft requests that spoof the tenant context, potentially gaining limited access to another tenant's data. The impact is low on confidentiality with no effect on integrity or availability.

Detection Guidance

Detecting this vulnerability requires monitoring SAP Approuter logs for unusual tenant context requests. Check for repeated requests with varying tenant identifiers or unexpected source IPs. Review access logs for unauthorized access attempts to tenant-specific endpoints.

Impact Analysis

If exploited, this vulnerability could allow an attacker to access limited information from another tenant's environment. This may lead to unauthorized data exposure but does not permit modification or deletion of data or disruption of services.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could potentially lead to unauthorized data access, which may violate compliance requirements under GDPR or HIPAA depending on the data involved. Organizations should assess the risk based on the sensitivity of exposed data and implement mitigations.

Mitigation Strategies

Apply the latest security patches or updates provided by SAP for Approuter to address the insufficient tenant context validation. Monitor inbound requests for unusual patterns or unauthorized access attempts. Implement network-level controls to restrict access to Approuter endpoints.
