Executive Summary

This vulnerability involves incorrect authorization in Google Chrome's Workers feature. A remote attacker who already compromised the renderer process could bypass web origin policy by tricking a user into visiting a crafted HTML page. This allows the attacker to access resources from different origins than intended.

Impact Analysis

If exploited, this vulnerability could allow an attacker to access sensitive data from other websites you visit, steal cookies or session tokens, or perform actions on your behalf without your knowledge. It requires the attacker to first compromise the renderer process, which is difficult but possible through other means.

Mitigation Strategies

Update Google Chrome to version 151.0.7922.173 or later to address the vulnerability.
