Executive Summary

This vulnerability in IBM Langflow OSS versions 1.0.0 through 1.10.3 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the server. It requires only 2 HTTP requests with no credentials needed.

Detection Guidance

Check for unauthorized access or unusual network traffic patterns. Inspect server logs for unexpected HTTP requests or code execution attempts. Verify if the IBM Langflow service is exposed to the internet without proper authentication.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could gain full control of the server, steal sensitive data, install malware, or disrupt services. This could lead to data breaches, system compromise, or unauthorized access to connected systems.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to non-compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulations due to unauthorized data access or exposure. Organizations may face fines, legal penalties, and reputational damage.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately upgrade IBM Langflow to a patched version beyond 1.10.3. Restrict network access to the service to trusted IPs only. Implement strong authentication mechanisms if internet exposure is necessary.
