Executive Summary

This vulnerability is a race condition in the order submission function of macrozheng mall up to version 1.0.3. It exists in the file /order/submit and can be exploited remotely with high attack complexity. The exploit is difficult to perform.

Detection Guidance

Detection of this race condition vulnerability in macrozheng mall requires monitoring for concurrent order submissions or inconsistent state changes. Check application logs for duplicate or overlapping order submissions around the same time. Inspect database transactions for anomalies in order status updates. Use tools like Wireshark to capture network traffic to /order/submit endpoints for unusual patterns.

Impact Analysis

The vulnerability could allow an attacker to manipulate order processing, potentially leading to unauthorized changes in order status or data integrity issues. Since it requires some privileges and has high complexity, the risk is moderate but could disrupt normal operations.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability may impact compliance by potentially exposing order data integrity or enabling unauthorized transactions. GDPR requires data integrity and security, while HIPAA mandates protection of transaction records. A successful exploit could violate these requirements.

Mitigation Strategies

Upgrade macrozheng mall to a version beyond 1.0.3 to address the race condition in the order submission component. Monitor network traffic for unusual order submission patterns and restrict access to the /order/submit endpoint.
