Executive Summary

CVE-2026-100594 is an authorization bypass vulnerability in OpenClaw versions before 2026.7.1. It allows non-owner senders to request and receive owner-only trajectory bundles via the /export-trajectory endpoint due to insufficient authorization checks.

Detection Guidance

To detect this vulnerability, check OpenClaw versions before 2026.7.1 by running: openclaw --version or inspecting package managers like pip show openclaw. Monitor logs for unauthorized access attempts to the /export-trajectory endpoint. Verify if non-owner senders can retrieve trajectory bundles.

Impact Analysis

Attackers can access sensitive data from affected sessions, including prompts, model messages, tool schemas, runtime events, and local path metadata. This could lead to unauthorized data exposure and potential misuse of confidential information.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability may violate compliance requirements under GDPR and HIPAA due to unauthorized exposure of sensitive data. It could result in data breaches, leading to legal penalties and reputational damage.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately upgrade OpenClaw to version 2026.7.1 or later. Disable trajectory export commands in channels with non-owner participants. Restrict access to the /export-trajectory endpoint and review authorization policies for sensitive data exposure.
