Executive Summary

IBM Langflow OSS versions 1.0.0 through 1.10.2 have a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to send unauthorized requests from the affected system, which could enable network scanning or assist in further attacks.

Detection Guidance

Detecting SSRF vulnerabilities like CVE-2026-12765 requires monitoring network traffic and application behavior. Check for unusual outbound requests from your IBM Langflow OSS instances, especially to internal or external systems. Review server logs for unexpected connections or requests originating from the application. Use network scanning tools to identify if the system is making unauthorized requests.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could exploit this to access internal systems, gather network information, or use your server as a proxy for malicious activities. This may lead to data breaches, unauthorized access, or additional compromise of connected systems.

Compliance Impact

SSRF vulnerabilities can violate compliance requirements by exposing sensitive data or allowing unauthorized network access. GDPR may require breach notification if personal data is compromised, while HIPAA could be violated if patient data is exposed through unauthorized requests.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately update IBM Langflow OSS to the latest version beyond 1.10.2. If an update is not available, restrict outbound network access from the application using firewalls or network policies. Disable unnecessary features that may facilitate SSRF, such as proxy endpoints or URL fetching capabilities. Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity.
