Executive Summary

This vulnerability exists in the RuoYi project up to version 4.8.3, specifically in the changeStatus function of the Disable API component. It allows remote attackers to manipulate session expiration by sending crafted requests to the /system/config/add endpoint.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could remotely force session expirations, potentially leading to unauthorized access termination or denial of service for legitimate users. This could disrupt operations relying on active sessions.

Compliance Impact

The vulnerability allows remote session expiration manipulation in RuoYi up to 4.8.3, which could lead to unauthorized access or session hijacking. This may violate GDPR's data protection requirements for session security and HIPAA's access control standards if user sessions are compromised.

Mitigation Strategies

Upgrade RuoYi to a version beyond 4.8.3 to address the session expiration issue in the Disable API component.
