Executive Summary

A vulnerability exists in fit2cloud MeterSphere versions up to 3.6.9-lts. The issue is in the Swagger3ParserApiDefinition.java file where manipulating the swaggerUrl argument allows server-side request forgery (SSRF). This means an attacker can trick the server into making unauthorized requests to internal or external systems.

Detection Guidance

This vulnerability involves server-side request forgery (SSRF) in fit2cloud MeterSphere up to version 3.6.9-lts. Detection requires checking for unusual outbound requests or internal network probing from the MeterSphere application. Monitor logs for unexpected connections to internal or external URLs via the Swagger3ParserApiDefinition component.

Impact Analysis

This vulnerability could allow attackers to access internal services, bypass firewalls, or exfiltrate data by forcing the server to make requests to unintended destinations. It may lead to unauthorized information disclosure or further network compromise if exploited.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately upgrade fit2cloud MeterSphere to a version beyond 3.6.9-lts if available. If no patch exists, restrict network access to the MeterSphere server, block outbound requests to sensitive internal addresses, and disable the Swagger3ParserApiDefinition functionality if not required. Monitor for exploitation attempts in logs.
