Executive Summary

This vulnerability is a race condition in the macrozheng mall system up to version 1.0.3. It occurs in the coupon redemption process, specifically in the /order/generateOrder endpoint. An attacker can manipulate the couponId parameter to exploit this issue. The attack is complex and requires remote access but has a difficult exploitability rating.

Detection Guidance

Detection may involve monitoring for unusual order generation activity or race conditions in coupon redemption. Check application logs for repeated /order/generateOrder requests with the same couponId. Use network monitoring tools to inspect traffic patterns to the affected endpoint.

Impact Analysis

The impact is limited due to the vulnerability's complexity. It may allow unauthorized coupon usage or order manipulation, potentially leading to financial loss or unfair advantages in the e-commerce system. However, the high complexity reduces real-world risk.

Mitigation Strategies

Upgrade macrozheng mall to a version beyond 1.0.3 if available. Implement rate limiting on the /order/generateOrder endpoint. Add input validation for couponId to prevent manipulation. Monitor for suspicious activity and restrict access to the coupon redemption component.
