Executive Summary

Yshopmall through version 2.0.0 has an insecure direct object reference vulnerability in the member address API. Authenticated users can manipulate sequential address IDs to access, modify, or delete other members' shipping addresses without proper authorization.

Detection Guidance

Check for unauthorized access to member address endpoints like /address/detail/{id}, /address/del, or /address/edit. Monitor logs for sequential ID enumeration attempts or unusual modifications to shipping addresses.

Impact Analysis

Attackers could expose sensitive data like recipient names, phone numbers, and physical addresses. They may also reassign or delete shipping addresses, disrupting legitimate orders and causing financial or operational harm.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability likely violates privacy regulations such as GDPR (data protection) and HIPAA (health information confidentiality) due to unauthorized access and exposure of personal data. Organizations may face legal penalties and reputational damage.

Mitigation Strategies

Implement authentication and authorization checks to prevent unauthorized access. Restrict direct object references by validating user permissions for address operations. Update to a patched version if available.
