Executive Summary

This vulnerability is a missing authorization issue in Risesoft Digital-Infrastructure through version 9.6.11. It exists in the log module's DownloadController, allowing authenticated users to export personnel directories of other tenants by supplying a different tenantId. This can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive employee data such as names, login names, organization paths, mobile numbers, and emails.

Impact Analysis

If you are a user of Risesoft Digital-Infrastructure, an attacker with valid credentials could exploit this to steal sensitive employee data from other tenants. This could lead to privacy breaches, identity theft, or corporate espionage. Organizations may face reputational damage and loss of customer trust.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability likely violates GDPR and HIPAA due to unauthorized access to personal data. GDPR requires strict protection of personal data, and HIPAA mandates safeguards for protected health information. Exploitation could result in regulatory fines, legal penalties, and mandatory breach notifications.

Mitigation Strategies

Immediately update Risesoft Digital-Infrastructure to the latest version beyond 9.6.11 to patch the missing authorization flaw in the log module. Restrict user access to sensitive endpoints like exportLoginXLS and exportNotLoginXLS to prevent unauthorized data exports.
