Our commitment

BaseFortify is committed to making our website and web application usable and accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA and are working toward 2.2 where feasible.

What we’re doing

  • Design & code standards: Semantic HTML, proper headings and landmarks, descriptive link text, visible focus states, and predictable navigation.
  • Keyboard support: All interactive elements (menus, dialogs, forms, tables, and controls) are operable via keyboard without a mouse.
  • Color & contrast: We strive to meet contrast ratios for text and UI elements. Information is not conveyed by color alone (e.g., CVSS badges include text labels).
  • Images & media: Informative images include alternative text; decorative images are marked to be ignored by assistive technologies.
  • Forms & feedback: Clear labels, error messaging, and status updates that are announced to assistive technologies (e.g., toast notifications include ARIA live regions).
  • Tables & charts: Data shown in charts is also available in accessible tables or downloadable formats.
  • Responsive layout: Pages reflow for different screen sizes and zoom levels without loss of content or functionality.

Conformance status

We believe significant parts of BaseFortify.eu partially conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We are actively addressing remaining issues as part of our ongoing development cycle.

Known limitations

  • Complex data views: Some interactive tables and filters may be challenging with screen readers or at high zoom. We provide table views and plan additional keyboard shortcuts and ARIA improvements.
  • Chart accessibility: Certain data visualizations may not be fully perceivable by screen readers. We provide textual summaries and underlying data.
  • Third-party components: A few embedded or vendor UI components may have limited accessibility. Where possible, we customize or replace them.

If you find an issue not listed here, please let us know.

Compatibility

We test with current versions of major desktop and mobile browsers and with common assistive technologies. Older browsers or very rare configurations may not be fully supported.

Technical specs

  • HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript following WCAG techniques.
  • Proper use of roles, names, and states for all controls (including modals and menus).
  • Server-rendered content with progressive enhancement for client-side features.
