Executive Summary

This is a code injection vulnerability in Adobe ColdFusion where improper control of code generation allows arbitrary code execution. Attackers can exploit it without user interaction, potentially gaining full control over the affected system.

Impact Analysis

An attacker could execute arbitrary code on your system, leading to data theft, system compromise, or unauthorized access. Since exploitation requires no user interaction, systems exposed to the internet are at high risk.

Compliance Impact

This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized data access or exfiltration, violating GDPR (data protection) and HIPAA (health data privacy) requirements. Non-compliance may result in legal penalties or fines.

Mitigation Strategies

Apply the latest security patches from Adobe for ColdFusion 2025 or 2023 immediately. Disable unnecessary services and restrict network access to ColdFusion ports. Monitor for unusual activity or unauthorized code execution.
